Module MV4 – Work as a practitioner

“Work as a practitioner” is the art that allows to transform medical knowledge and skills into therapeutic success, through a harmonious therapeutic environment and continuous personal development. It allows effective and responsible networking within the professional field and timely adequate decisions for the sake of the patient.  Communication, therapeutic relationship, principles of collaboration, professional development are some of the topics of the module.

MV4 is a prerequisite for the MEDVAIDYA diploma in ayurvedic medicine. It fulfils the requirements of the M4 module of OdA AM, which is a prerequisite for obtaining the Swiss federal diploma of practitioner in ayurvedic medicine.

Recognition of prior learning

Prior learning can be recognized by the school based on an evaluation of the candidate’s file as per OdA AM criteria.

Description of the module

The Naturopath with federal diploma promotes and supports therapeutic work and patient care through appropriate communication and relationship, works effectively with doctors, colleagues, health specialists and other professional groups, coordinates and implements outpatient measures according to the agreement with the patients.

He/she works according to the current state of knowledge of the profession, reflects on his/her professional activity, continuously expanding knowledge and skills, adjusting the behaviour, reflecting on the state of personal development and continuously structuring it in accordance with the professional activity.
