General objectives

The MedVaidya program aims to contribute to the recognition of Ayurveda as a medicine in its own right and its institutionalization as a medical system in the West and beyond.

Ayurveda is a very ancient and living science. Preserving it and developing it at the same time is an ongoing challenge for all of us. We want to involve you, as a high-level professional, in this rich and exciting mission.

That is why we are constantly working to improve and consolidate our teaching. In this respect, the MedVaidya program is an important part of the SwissMed School’s Ayurveda department.

Training objectives

As a future MedVaidya graduate, you are trained to 

  • Provide effective professional work upon graduation
  • Provide your clients with structured, effective and differentiated treatment that meets their needs
  • Have a deep understanding of the principles of Ayurveda, while knowing and respecting its strengths and limitations
  • Ensure the quality of your work, knowing where to go for professional advice when needed
  • To collaborate usefully with the other actors of your health system and to represent Ayurveda with dignity in front of your clients, the public and the authorities.
